Should spend less time on instant messengers

    TAGS: None

Although these are the great inventions from the famous application developers or service providers, but for someone like me who have a poor time management, should just spend less time on it, or just quit it. I have to admit that these instant messengers can make relationship between human being closer, because the users are allowed to have real-time communication between two or more people. It is saving a lot of cost and time by chatting using these instant messenger services or software, but the questions is, did you ever control the times you spent on these instant messengers?

From what I saw is (including myself), almost everyday after turned on the computer and get connected to the Internet, the first thing I will do is launch Mozilla Thunderbird for checking new emails. Meanwhile I was waiting for new emails, I will launch MSN Messenger as well (yeah, that’s it, all day long signed in even not chatting at all, just want to see our friends or family are on-the line, and wish to let them know that I am always here). I feel so hilarious after I’ve been thinking deeply for my own future, these instant messenger softwares are just spending too much time of mine. Maybe is because I have a broadband connection which is on 24 hours per day.

I admit that I am an addicted computer user which require a 24 hours per day broadband connection as well. I can even sit in front of the computer for the whole day, without eating or drinking, and I would not feel tired. I get to know some friends from other country like Sweden, United State, or Italy. What we always chat over the MSN Messenger is the latest technology inventions or discovery. I think that is the correct usage of the MSN Messenger for us, because we are exchanging our knowledges such as programming skills or tricks.

If you are doing online business, need to have some real-time discussion with your colleagues or business partner which is very far away from you, I guess it should be no problem to use instant messenger as the main communication method. However, if you are selling online services like web hosting services, and thinking of providing some real-time support to your customer, instant messaging is not a good idea because your client might ask you a lot of unrelated question, now that’s really time consuming.

My friend advised me not to be a NATO (no-action-talk-only) person (not NARUTO, haha), so I guess I should spend less time on instant messengers. Do you think you should spend less time on empty talks over MSN Messenger as well? Think twice, what do you get from it. :-)

Another busy monday (After price of petrol increased)

So what is the different before and after the price of petrol increased? Nothing different what, I am still stuck in the heavy traffic jam. And, we cannot blame the government for this because the government was choosed by the citizens itself. MYR 2.70 / litre seems like doesn’t affect most of the citizens yet. Let’s see what will happen on August 2008 at Malay**a.

Our government loves to say that gasoline (or petrol) is still the cheapest in the region. What they neglected to mention is that we are an oil-producing country. With that in mind, let’s compare the prices of gas from other oil-producing nations:

United Arab Emirates – MYR 1.19/litre
    Brunei – MYR 1.10/litre
    Eygpt – MYR 1.03/litre
    Bahrain – MYR 0.87/litre
    Qatar – MYR 0.68/litre
    Kuwait – MYR 0.67/litre
    Saudi Arabia – MYR 0.38/litre
    Iran – MYR 0.35/litre
    Nigeria – MYR 0.32/litre
    Turkmenistan – MYR 0.25/litre
    Venezuela – MYR 0.16/litre

    MALAYSIA – RM2.70/litre

Malay**a government might be the richest among all. Politic**s, I hope you all live until ripe age. :-P
